Jeremy Joseph

24 Hour Service Station

Jeremy Joseph, 27, wrote, performed and recorded his debut EP on an eight-track in his bedroom finishing the record Summer 2009.  Around this time the EP started to generate some press including an NPR Song of the Day feature in late January 2010.  In April Daddy Lion caught the attention of indie label 24 Hour Service Station and signed a deal for the EP's release Summer 2010.  A follow-up is now in the works.

"A pleasant surprise... hearty, fuzzy guitar-rock, full of introspective and tortured travelogues, breakdowns and reminisces." -

"An addictive, evolving listen that stands up - and positively encourages - return spins." - Heavier Than Air

Top 10 EP of 2010 - Twangville

"Daddy Lion is packed with great emotions ... shows great promise." - FensePost

"One of DC's most exciting up-and-coming bands." - An Ocean Of Noise

"Washington, DC's Daddy Lion has got it right." - Impressionable Youth

"Daddy Lion sounds like all of their influences and they’re all the better for it. A hint of Joy Division can be heard on ‘Falling to Pieces‘, Hüsker Dü can be heard on ‘Just Die Young‘ and ‘Morning‘ could easily be a Dinosaur Jr. B-side slow burner." - Cougar Microbes

"I’m pleased to report it has more to it than the all too common indie-by-numbers approach that we are often exposed to. No we’re pleased to confirm there’s meat on these bones." - The Mad Mackeral

"I listened to the song Divine, and right away said I have to get this out there." - Static TV blog

"I’m amazed by... how succinctly they compact so much into a little more than two-and-a-half minutes of music. It’s an amuse-bouche of music: small but complete and satisfying." - Britticisms
